Who is responsible

Larisa Myburgh Attorneys looks after the personal information you send through this website, and this notice sets out what happens to it.

What the contact form asks for

Your name, email address, telephone number and your message. Send us enough to say what you need and who to call back. Please leave confidential detail about a case out of the form, because a web form is not the place for it. Once we are acting for you, there are safer ways to send us documents and we will tell you which to use.

Matters we already handle

If we are already acting for you, everything about that matter sits under attorney-client privilege and our professional duty of confidentiality. Those duties are wider than this notice and they do not change because you also used the contact form.

What we do with it

We use your details to reply and to work out whether we can help. That is the whole purpose. You will not be added to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone for their own purposes. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which keeps automated submissions out, and the message reaches us by email.

How long we hold it

An enquiry that goes nowhere is deleted once the conversation has ended. An enquiry that becomes a matter is kept with that file, for as long as the law and our professional rules require us to keep it.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we are not obliged to keep it. If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your information, you can raise it with us first and, failing that, with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
